World Cup Downhill, Slalom Edit, and More Pictures...

Most of the racers went to Lake Louise on Saturday to watch the men's World Cup Downhill, and a few stayed to watch the super-g on Sunday.  One of my personal favorites, Norway's Aksel Lund Svindal won both days by large margins.  Unfortunately, I left on Saturday before American Marco Sullivan jumped to third place after starting in 43rd, winning the "Hard Charger Award".  Overall, the event was a blast, as was the bib-drawing event at the Chateau at Lake Louise Saturday night. Here are my pictures:

I put together this little edit from footage filmed with my Contour camera this week.  Enjoy.

Days four and five

Sorry about no post yesterday, I was out late at the great Thanksgiving dinner Elk and Oarsmen.  Everybody had a great time at the turkey dinner, and both days of GS went very smoothly.  The coaches are both very impressed with the racers' progress throughout the week.  Here are some pictures my mom Beth took at the dinner...

My mom did a great job "capturing the moment" ;)

And once again my dad took pictures of skiing.  Some of the parents of racers told me they will send me their pictures, and when I get all of them I will make a post with those pictures.
